Margaret Wertheim graduated in physics, mathematics and computer science on her way to becoming the internationally noted science writer, lecturer and broadcaster we know today. Acclaimed publications include Pythagoras’ Trousers, a history of the relationship between physics and religion; and The Pearly Gates of Cyberspace: A History of Space from Dante to the Internet. She is also a regular contributor to the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Cabinet magazine, and writes the Quark Soup science column for LA Weekly (sister paper to the Village Voice.). Margaret lectures around the world - Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Sydney – and is a popular keynote speaker – recently addressing the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, and the International Design Conference Aspen. As a broadcaster, Margaret has written and produced a dozen television science documentaries - notably the award-winning series “Catalyst” and “It’s Jim’s World .... we just live in it” about the visionary physicist James Carter.
